The greatest thing that Mike ever taught me was to follow your heart and never give up on your beliefs. There may be days that you feel all is lost and the pain is unbearable, but imagine how you would feel if this was the moment your hidden dreams came true. It is a moment that can never be reached if you settle. Be strong and always try again.

The following is his obituary as published in the Virginian Pilot.

VIRGINIA BEACH

Michael Vincent Forzano, 60, went to be with the Lord March 23, 2009. Michael was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Vincent and Helen Forzano. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and later was a small business owner in communciations.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Angulo; his daughters, Corinne Forzano and Ginette Gilardi, all of Virginia Beach; his brother , Charles Forzano of West Hempstead, N.Y.; his stepdaughter, Caitlin Angulo; former wife, Margaret Forzano; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Father James E. Parke at noon Friday at tthe Church of Ascension, 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friendsin Altmeyer Funeral Home, Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave, today from 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions Seton Youth Shelters, 3333 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23452. To share condolences with the family, please visit www.altmeyer.com.
